Adamsons Property Centre
Acorn Media have supplied Adamsons Solicitors and Property Centre IT services for several years and maintained their old website. We hosted their original website and after many problems had been encountered with it they decided they needed to have their website redesigned. The main aim of the redesigned and redeveloped website was that the property search facility incorporated more options enabling a more efficient search. Also for quality purposes and uniformity across the website a checking facility was required to ensure no errors were displayed in the property details.
As the website needed a fresh, modern new look, it was decided to update their logo to match this new image along with additional print design work to incorporate the new logo in letterheads, business cards and sale boards.
How we met the project goals
Re-branding the logo
Adamsons Property Centre logo needed modernisation to fit in with the new website image. The old thick serif fonts were replaced with modern sans serif fonts and the colours were inverted from black to white.
Using elements from the old logo (as the company was already well established and they would be easily recognisable with the new logo) the horizontal red bar was removed from the top of the logo and replaced with a symbol of a roof to symbolise the estate agent business.
Developing the website
Initially, an assessment was made on their current website purpose. Essentially the requirement of the website was primarily a searchable, user friendly property database that advertised Adamsons Property Centre effectively. The key focus was the database functionality and the website was built around this. A customised, high quality, checkable content management system was developed.
The website was designed co-ordinating the black and red of the new re-branded logo. We also gave the focus of each page to a large high quality image of the local area, to symbolise the beauty of the region Adamsons Property Centre specialise in selling properties.
We worked closely with Adamsons during the development process and gave them regular updates and viewings of the website progress giving them options at various stages. We took their goals, ideas and preferences on board at every stage of the design process.
The final product
Adamsons Property Centre is very pleased with their website that we have developed and produced. They were particularly impressed, as it incorporates a quicksearch and advanced search facility, viewing request, contact form, landlord/tenant appraisal application and a general contact form. The website also has the benefit of displaying the full property particulars, which the old website never had the functionality to do. View the adamsons property website here.
